A beaded wristlet keychain is a loop of beads you wear on your wrist, with a clasp so you can also clip it onto a purse, tote or bag. Nicole and her daughter Emma make every one together. Each has a charm on top, so you can wear it, hang it or give it away.

What a wristlet keychain is

Think of it as a keychain bracelet with two jobs. On your wrist it looks like a bead bracelet. Unclipped and hooked onto a bag, it becomes a bead wrist keychain that swings from a strap, zipper or handle.

Every piece has a charm, the cherry on top, plus a finishing accent that changes by design. You might find leather, ribbon, a tassel, a bow or another small detail.

Elastic or nylon

Ready-made pieces are made with elastic unless the listing says otherwise. Elastic is comfortable, slips on easily and suits everyday wear. The standard size is 8 inches.

Custom orders can use nylon instead. It is more structured and holds its shape, which makes it a good pick for a keychain or bag charm. Choose elastic if you mostly want a bracelet, and nylon if it will mostly live on a bag.

Ready-made or custom

Ready-made pieces are $14 each and one of a kind. What you see is exactly what you get, and once a piece sells it is gone. New ones arrive in small batches called Drops, and the email list gets first access.

A custom wristlet is $18. You choose the material, size, colors and hardware, and you can add a word or name of up to 6 letters. We choose the charm and finishing accent. A $10 design fee comes first and counts toward the $18, then we email a photo proof. Custom pieces are final sale.

What size are your wristlets?

Standard is about 8 inches. Custom orders also offer a child size of about 6 inches or a custom measurement.

Which is better, elastic or nylon?

Elastic is easy to slip on for daily wear. Nylon holds its shape better, so it suits a bag or purse. Nylon is available on custom orders only.
